Sir James Dyson is the chief engineer of the company. Dyson has almost 7,500 patents to its name spread across a wide range of hardware, software and intelligent machines. Pledged to invest around £1 bn, Dyson is working on the long-term development of battery technology. Dyson is also working on a battery-powered electric vehicle. Dyson would capitalise on the vacuum cleaner market and the air purifier in India when it launches. James Dyson and his research team found out that the efficiency and suction prowess of the machine gets reduced when air bags are used for collecting dust and therefore the Dyson Cord-free vacuum cleaner does not use an airbag.
